A policeman died when an extremist crashed a car bomb into an installation that protected the votes of the recent legislative elections, the captain of that body, Hamed al-Obeidi, told the press.
The officer explained that most of the 22 injured are members of the security forces.
Two other Iraqis were wounded Sunday after the explosion of a bomb hidden in a market in Al-Taji district in northern Baghdad.
Although none of the two attacks have been claimed so far, the authorities blame the Islamic State's cells that continue to be active in this Arab nation after the military defeat of the terrorist group.
