[fm]: British Prime Minister David Cameron resigns

British Prime Minister, David Cameron, has resigned following the British referendum vote outcome to leave the European Union.
"I think the country requires fresh leadership to take it in this direction. I do not think it would be the right thing for me to try to be the captain that steers our country to the next destination," he said.
Cameron campaigned ferociously to remain in the 28 member bloc but lost by a slight margin to those opting to go it alone.
He is expected to leave 10 Downing Street by October this year. The ‘remain vote’ lost by a margin of three percent.
Announcing his departure, Cameron allayed fears saying, there would be no immediate changes to Britons's travelling regime and movement of goods and services.
The country has the next two years to finalize new arrangements with the European Union.
